Throwback Thursday: So…? Fragrances + 90s Makeup Look

One fragrance brand that introduced me to perfumes as a teen was So…? fragrances. When I was given the opportunity to receive a sample to feature on my blog, I thought it was a great excuse for some tween/teen nostalgia and to put together a 90s makeup look.

90s Makeup look

So…? 30ml and a Tattoo choker from Kmart

The sample that I received was the original *So…? fragrance. While I have tried it, it has been over 10 years quite a while since I’ve purchased/worn it

I was surprised to hear that the So…? fragrances were still available after all this time, you can check out the range here.

*So…?
Top notes: Tangerine and Orange Flower
Middle notes: Jasmine, Ylang Ylang and Rose
Base notes: Amber, Sandalwood and Vanilla

The scent takes me back to when I was a tween/teen starting high school…other things that remind me of high school are tattoo chokers (pictured above), brown toned lipsticks, troll dolls and singlet dresses worn over a white t-shirt. Some 90s trends are making a comeback and I love that the current generation of teens can appreciate some of the ’90s kids’ trends…Kinda sad you can’t buy the original troll dolls any more!

Priceline Hair goody bag 2014 + Mini Haul

Last Thursday I picked up the Priceline Hair goody bag 2014, the minimum spend to receive this ‘goody bag’ was $40 (spent on participating brands, see the pic below). I picked up some hair care products that I needed and a couple of other things, while I was there.

Priceline releases 3 goody bags (Gift with purchase) each year. The first one for the year is Hair Care and the other two, Makeup/Beauty and Skin care will be released later in the year.

The Priceline hair goody bag for this year was released on the 13th of February and will be available until  February 24th (or until stocks last)

What I got in my bag (products & shades may vary)

Priceline hair goody bag 2014

Scrunci Bun maker– My hair isn’t long enough to use this yet, so I’m not sure whether I’ll keep it for when it is long enough or just give it to my sis.

Tony & Guy Cleanse shampoo for Brunette hair 250ml– This will definitely get used, as I have brown hair…but it will be a back up because I bought this and the conditioner to make up the $40 to get the bag! haha

Batiste dry shampoo 50ml Tropical scent– I love Batiste dry shampoo and the scent smells nice and summery!

Schwarzkopf Push-Up Volume express mousse treatment 125ml– My hair is dead straight and fairly fine, so I was excited to receive this in my bag. I have tried many volumising products, but am yet to find one that really impresses me.

Colour Xtreme Hair art 75ml in White– I was interested in this product, but disappointed in the colour! White…really? I a guess with some stencils it may look okay, but if I just use it streaked through my hair it will look like I have grey hair!

L’Oreal Elnett satin Extreme hold hair spray 75ml– I know this hair spray is popular among beauty bloggers/vloggers, but I haven’t actually tried it myself. I don’t currently have any hair spray because my hair has been too short to style. Now that my hair is a little longer, it will come in handy. It’s small enough can to put in my bag too!

John Frieda Precision foam colour after-colour conditioner 50ml (sample size)– This was the only product in the bag that is a sample size! The rest of the products you can buy (in the same size) at Priceline. I haven’t coloured my hair in years, but I do remember how soft the after colour conditioners made my hair, so I may still use it.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle treatment 15ml tube– You can buy this at Priceline, but only in a pack of three. It says it’s for severely damaged hair, which mine isn’t so I will probably give it to my sis or someone else in my family that will use it.

John Frieda Frizz Ease extra strength serum 24ml– Like I said earlier, my hair is dead straight, so it doesn’t need to be ‘de-frizzed’. I think I will be giving this to my mum because she sometimes complains of frizzy hair (hope she doesn’t mind me saying!)

3 hair dye vouchers- I’m not planning to dye my hair any time soon, so I will be giving them to one of my cousins or aunty to use. Two of the vouchers are for two different full-sized hair dyes! (no purchase necessary) I thought that was pretty impressive! The other voucher is for $10 off on John Frieda Salon quality colour.
