Khairpep Launch Event

Last Monday I attended the launch event for a new hair care treatment, Khairpep Transforme at Blondes to Brunettes in Prahran.

The salon is in such a beautiful area and not too hard to find. I might have to pop in for a trim or even just a blow wave when I’m in Melbourne next.

What is Khairpep?

Khairpep is a leave-in hair treatment, that repairs hair damaged by bleaching, colouring, straightening and perms. It contains K18Peptide and is clinically proven to; strengthen damaged hair, increase hair elasticity and makes hair more manageable & shinny.

Makeup artist, beauty blogger/Vlogger Hailey was the hair model for the day

The Khairpep Transforme masque is intended for thicker drier hair or hair with damaged ends, while the Khairpep Transforme serum is for fine hair, it’s light weight and adds body to your hair.

Both the masque and serum are available at selected salons as a treatment with your cut, colour or blow-wave. For best results it’s recommended that you repeat the treatment at home 2-4 applications. They retail for $79 each for 50ml of product. You use the tiniest amount for each application and it won’t rinse out the next time you shampoo (after an application), so it will last you a long time!

I know, you’re probably thinking that it’s a lot of money for a hair treatment, but Yan (who was at the event and owns Yan Rafael Hair & Beauty in Elsternwick) put it best when he said that if you pay a lot of money for handbags or to eat at a restaurant, so why not pay that bit more to take care of your hair?

I am yet to try the treatment out on my own hair, but I will be posting updates/results on my blog as soon as I do. My mum is keen to try it too…and my sis!

Round Beach Towels – Summer Trend

One of the big trends for Summer this year is Round beach towels, more and more stores have been releasing their own designs over the past couple of months.

There are many designs to choose from, with prices to suit different budgets. They would make a great Christmas gift also!

Here are a few of my favourite designs

Fruit Print

Two of the hottest fruit prints/objects this summer are watermelons and pineapples, there are many different homewares and beach accessories around at the moment that are in the shape of these fruit or have the fruit print.

round beach towels1. The Round Towel- Watermelon, $34.95 from Cotton On, 2. Round Towel- Pineapples, $84.95 from BEACH BELLA

Saying

If you are fan of quirky or cheeky sayings, you’ll love the two designs below. I really love the ‘Beach Please’ one from BEACH BELLA…who doesn’t love a good pun? (or a bad one)

Round beach towels1. Spin Me Round Towel- Urban Red To The Beach, $34.95 from Rubi Shoes, 2. Round Towel- Beach Please, $84.95 from BEACH BELLA

Monochrome

You can’t go wrong with monochrome, it’s understated, but goes with everything! I absolutely love Peter Morrissey’s designs, especially the palm trees! He will always be one of my favourite Aussie designers.

Round beach towels1. Peter Morrissey 150cm Round Beach Towel with fringe- two designs, $39 each from Big W, 2. Arrow Round Beach Towel, $59 from Target

 Single colour

The towels below are a great option if you want one that is a single coloured pattern on white rather than the black & while monochromatic ones. The Kmart round towel is a vibrant yellow and is the most affordable round beach towel, that I’ve come across.

round beach towels1. Round Jaquard Beach Towel- Yellow, $29 from Kmart, 2. Round Towel- Japanese Waves $84.95 from BEACH BELLA

What do you think of the Round Beach Towels trend? would you buy one?

PS. Happy 1st day of Summer Australia!
