Royal Geelong Show 2008

Royal Geelong Show Thursday Oct 18th-21st– The Royal Geelong Show is the largest four day show in Country Victoria. This year is the show’s 157th year! There are lots of things to see and do at the Royal Geelong Show including wood-chop competitions, rides, games to try your luck on and who could forget the show bags! The Toyota Hilux Heroes are back again this year also and there will be fireworks displays on Friday and Saturday…my favourite thing about the show is Fairy Floss of course! haha

Price: Adult $20, Concession $15, student (8-15yrs) $12, Children (7 & under)  FREE, Family pass (includes 2 Adults & up to 3 Children/Students) $50

Meet Peter Alexander Friday Oct 19th from 1pm-2pm– Peter Alexander will be at the Westfield Geelong store to celebrate the store’s 1st Birthday! Meet him and get 25% off Peter Alexander purchases between 1pm and 2pm. There will also be a $200 door prize for a lucky customer, drawn by the man himself at 2pm! So, be sure to head to the store between 1pm & 2pm to enter!

 Frock Up Geelong Saturday October 27th– On Saturday October 27 Vintage fashion dealers from all over the country will be at the Geelong West Town Hall on Packington Street. ‘Frock Up’ is a series of events organised by ‘The Way We Wear Fairs’, with Geelong there are events held in 7 different cities around the country! There will be fashion from almost every era you can think of. It is on from 9am until 5pm.

Price: Adults $6, Concession $5, Children (12+) $3.

Hello Sailor Vintage Fair in Geelong Saturday October 27th– Another vintage event also happening on Oct 27th is the Hello Sailor Vintage fair, they will be at Market Square Geelong from 9am until 5pm. Originally a Melbourne based fair, they decided to bring the event down to Geelong! There will be 8-10 pop-up stores featuring some of Melbourne’s finest vintage collectors. Come along to find yourself some affordable vintage pieces. If there is a big enough response, Hello Sailor Vintage Fair hope to make it a permanent event in Geelong!

Price: FREE….unless you decide purchase some vintage goodies!

I have purchased this set for my mum. I think it’s great value, as other stores are selling this collection for $40-$50!
