Khairpep Launch Event

Last Monday I attended the launch event for a new hair care treatment, Khairpep Transforme at Blondes to Brunettes in Prahran.

The salon is in such a beautiful area and not too hard to find. I might have to pop in for a trim or even just a blow wave when I’m in Melbourne next.

What is Khairpep?

Khairpep is a leave-in hair treatment, that repairs hair damaged by bleaching, colouring, straightening and perms. It contains K18Peptide and is clinically proven to; strengthen damaged hair, increase hair elasticity and makes hair more manageable & shinny.

Makeup artist, beauty blogger/Vlogger Hailey was the hair model for the day

The Khairpep Transforme masque is intended for thicker drier hair or hair with damaged ends, while the Khairpep Transforme serum is for fine hair, it’s light weight and adds body to your hair.

Both the masque and serum are available at selected salons as a treatment with your cut, colour or blow-wave. For best results it’s recommended that you repeat the treatment at home 2-4 applications. They retail for $79 each for 50ml of product. You use the tiniest amount for each application and it won’t rinse out the next time you shampoo (after an application), so it will last you a long time!

I know, you’re probably thinking that it’s a lot of money for a hair treatment, but Yan (who was at the event and owns Yan Rafael Hair & Beauty in Elsternwick) put it best when he said that if you pay a lot of money for handbags or to eat at a restaurant, so why not pay that bit more to take care of your hair?

I am yet to try the treatment out on my own hair, but I will be posting updates/results on my blog as soon as I do. My mum is keen to try it too…and my sis!

Fashion Find: Forever New Coral Blush and Cream Stripe, Striped Bow Skirt

Fashion Find: Forever New coral blush and cream stripe skirt.

Yesterday while I was in Melbourne, I went shopping at some of the stores at Southern Cross station. One of them being Forever New.

As I was browsing the store (for bargains), a particular skirt caught my eye. It was the ‘Coral Blush and Cream Stripe, striped bow skirt that I had put on my Christmas wish list last year! From the Summer 2011/2012 collection, seen here

Normally when I come across a find such as this, it’s either too small or too large. It is a 12 (I’m normally a 14), but it does fit, Yay! It was the last one…well, in this colour anyway. There were heaps of navy and cream ones.

Being a factory outlet, Forever New at Southern Cross had a huge sale on. The skirt was originally $69.95, but was then reduced to $39.95….and then a further 50% off because it had a red sticker! In the end the skirt ended up costing me only $19.97!

What bargains have you picked up lately?
