Mascara Monday: Australis Lash Length Extensions Mascara

Australis Lash Length Extensions Mascara– Lash Length Extensions mascara is the newest addition to the Australis ‘Mascara All Sorts’ range, it has a thin brush to reach and separate every lash, with ‘fibers’ that attach themselves to your lashes, giving the appearance of longer lashes.

Australis Lash lengths mascara

I thought I would add a few eggs to the pic for Easter Monday 🙂

Shade: Black

Cost: RRP $11.95

Tagline: “so lightweight you’ll feel like you’re not wearing any mascara at all!”

Pros: Affordable price, Thin brush for easy application and to separate lashes, long natural looking lashes, lightweight formula/fibers, long wearing.

Cons: Fibers may irritate sensitive eyes, only available in two shades…there is not much I can fault with this mascara!

What I thought: This has been my go-to mascara on my ‘no makeup’ days for the past couple of weeks. It truly is very light weight and natural looking! I was surprised at how long wearing it is too. I was so tired last night, that I didn’t take my mascara off when I went to bed (naughty, I know). When I woke up this morning, my mascara hadn’t budged. No panda eyes, yay! I don’t recommend sleeping with it on though, especially because of the fibers.

Helpful tip: When removing this mascara, do so gently to avoid getting any of the fibers in your eyes. If you do happen to get a fiber in your eye (as I did last week) don’t rub you eyes, flush it out with warm water. Then continue removing any remaining mascara.

Mascara Monday: Rimmel London Scandaleyes

I currently own about half a dozen mascaras, so I thought I would feature (and review) a different one each Monday, hence the title ‘Mascara Monday’.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes mascara– Rimmel’s Scandaleyes mascara was released earlier this year in Australia. The large, orange tube, appears ‘shimmery’. Rimmel describes the brush as being their ‘Biggest brush ever’ and they’re not wrong about that, it’s huge! With Collagen and Keratin for healthy lashes, they say your lashes will be “shaped, plumped, and exaggerated to perfection.”

Shade: 001 Black

Where I bought it: Priceline

Cost: RRP $16.95 (I got it for $10.95 on sale)

Tagline: “For lashes so luscious it’s almost criminal!”

Pros: Well defined lashes, non clumping, false lash effect, healthy looking lashes

Cons: The brush is so large,  so you may sometimes get mascara on your lids and difficult to apply to your lower lashes without getting it everywhere, not many shades available, not available in waterproof formula

What I thought: Scandaleyes is my current favourite mascara, I love how it makes my lashes look! I already have naturally long lashes, but they are quite thin and don’t really stand out. This mascara for me, does what the brand claims it will. That is rare with mascara, I tend to take ‘best lashes ever’ and other ‘marketing’ spiels with a grain of salt. A lot of the time they appear to be marketing ploys.
