I currently own about half a dozen mascaras, so I thought I would feature (and review) a different one each Monday, hence the title ‘Mascara Monday’.
Rimmel London Scandaleyes mascara– Rimmel’s Scandaleyes mascara was released earlier this year in Australia. The large, orange tube, appears ‘shimmery’. Rimmel describes the brush as being their ‘Biggest brush ever’ and they’re not wrong about that, it’s huge! With Collagen and Keratin for healthy lashes, they say your lashes will be “shaped, plumped, and exaggerated to perfection.”
Shade: 001 Black
Where I bought it: Priceline
Cost: RRP $16.95 (I got it for $10.95 on sale)
Tagline: “For lashes so luscious it’s almost criminal!”
Pros: Well defined lashes, non clumping, false lash effect, healthy looking lashes
Cons: The brush is so large, so you may sometimes get mascara on your lids and difficult to apply to your lower lashes without getting it everywhere, not many shades available, not available in waterproof formula
What I thought: Scandaleyes is my current favourite mascara, I love how it makes my lashes look! I already have naturally long lashes, but they are quite thin and don’t really stand out. This mascara for me, does what the brand claims it will. That is rare with mascara, I tend to take ‘best lashes ever’ and other ‘marketing’ spiels with a grain of salt. A lot of the time they appear to be marketing ploys.
My rating: 5/5
